Privacy Notice

Effective date: 08-17-2026Last updated: 08-16-2026

Slainte Health, Inc. (“Sláinte,” “we,” “us,” “our”) makes a preventive-health companion app that gives you a personalized health score and matching recommendations. This notice explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to reflect how the app actually works.

If you have questions or want to exercise a choice described here, contact us at privacy@slainte-health.app.

1. Our core principle: on-device first

Sláinte is built so that the detailed day-to-day health information you enter — the inputs that feed your health score — stays on your device and is not sent to us. On our servers we keep only a limited set of derived summaries and profile details, described in Section 3, needed to run the service and personalize your recommendations. We do not sell information about you as an individual.

2. What stays on your device

  • Your raw health inputs — the day-to-day information you enter that feeds your health score. This is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Connected wearable data, if you connect a wearable (see Section 6). Samples from a connected wearable are used on your device to help compute your score and are not sent to our servers.
  • On-device storage is protected by your device’s operating-system encryption and is excluded from device backups.

3. What we store on our servers

We store a limited set of information linked to your account:

  • Derived health summaries — your health score and confidence values by area, and derived indicators such as your strongest and weakest areas. These are computed from your on-device inputs; the underlying raw inputs are not sent to us. These summaries are health-related and are stored linked to your account, used to personalize your experience, and are never disclosed about you as an individual.
  • Limited profile information for personalization — a small amount of context used to surface appropriate recommendations, which may include your age and sex/gender and coarse, categorical segmentation labels. Where possible, the raw input behind a label stays on your device and only the label is stored with us.
  • Recommendation and interaction data — records of which recommendations were delivered to you and, where you have consented to help improve the product (see Section 7), your actions on them, together with a limited, non-identifying set of attributes.
  • Progress and outcomes (only if you turn it on) — if you enable outcome tracking, we store changes in your derived health score over time so we can tell whether the suggestions are helping. Like your score, these are derived on your device; we do not receive the underlying raw inputs. This is off by default (see Section 7).
  • Product-analytics events — if you enable product analytics, we record limited, categorical usage events under a separate pseudonymous identifier that is not linked to your account or authentication identity.
  • Consent records and account/contact information (such as an email address used for account recovery) needed to operate the service and honor your choices.

4. Location

Sláinte does not request or store your precise location. If — and only if — you turn on features that surface nearby resources, we store coarse location (such as city, state, and ZIP) to match you to local options. This is off by default.

5. How we use your information

We use the information above to: compute and show your health score; generate and personalize recommendations and check-ins; match you to relevant local resources when you choose that; operate, secure, and support the service; and, where you turn them on, improve our recommendations, measure whether suggestions are helping you, and understand product usage in aggregate.

6. Connected devices and health sources

Connecting a device or health source is optional; Sláinte does not require one. You can connect supported wearables (such as Oura) directly, or connect a health platform such as Apple Health, which can pass through data from your Apple Watch and other sources you’ve allowed. In each case the app accesses only the data types you authorize, and uses them on your device to help compute your score. This data is not transmitted to Sláinte’s servers and is not shared with third parties by us. You can disconnect a device or source at any time, which stops further access; data derived on your device is removed when you disconnect or delete the app. Your use of a connected device or platform is also governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy (including, for Apple Health, Apple’s HealthKit terms).

7. Consent and your choices

Some processing happens only if you turn it on. You are asked about these choices during onboarding, and you can change any of them at any time in settings. Each is off by default:

  • Product improvement — we record your interactions with recommendations in order to improve them only if you turn this on. If you don’t, or you revoke it, those interactions are not sent to us.
  • Outcome tracking — if you turn this on, we record changes in your derived health score over time to measure whether suggestions are helping you and to improve them. If you don’t, or you revoke it, this information is not collected.
  • Product analytics — if you enable product analytics, we record a limited set of categorical usage events tagged with a pseudonymous identifier instead of your account or login — the events themselves contain no account or authentication identifier. The mapping between that identifier and your account is held separately and is deleted when you delete your account, after which retained events can no longer be tied to you.
  • Nearby resources — coarse location is used only if you enable location-based features.

Consent choices are recorded with the applicable policy version. Revoking a choice stops the associated processing going forward.

8. When we analyze across users

When we analyze information across users — for example, to understand what helps people improve, or to produce community- or segment-level insights — we do so only in aggregate, and only in a form designed so that individuals cannot be singled out or re-identified. We do not sell individual-level health data, and we do not disclose information about you as an individual for others’ commercial use.

Outcome tracking, if you turn it on, is used to improve your own recommendations and — only ever in aggregate — to understand what works across users.

9. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

  • Service providers that host and support the app, under contracts limiting their use of the information to providing services to us.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users or others.
  • Business transfers — if Sláinte is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. In that event, information collected under this notice would remain subject to the commitments made here, and we or the successor would notify you of any material change to how that information is used and honor the choices available to you under applicable law. We do not sell individual-level health data.

10. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate operational, legal, and security purposes, and then delete or de-identify it. Certain minimized records (such as consent and security records) may be retained longer where needed to meet legal and accountability obligations.

11. Your rights and how to exercise them

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information, and to withdraw consent. In the app you can:

  • Change or revoke any of the choices described in Section 7.
  • Request an export of your data.
  • Request deletion — this removes your on-device data immediately and files a request to delete your information from our servers.

To make a request or ask a question, contact privacy@slainte-health.app. Residents of some states may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a decision; we will honor those as applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

12. Security

We restrict internal access to information on a need-to-know basis and use technical and organizational safeguards, including on-device encryption and encryption of data in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the service to minimize what is stored and who can access it.

13. Children

Sláinte is intended for adults (18 and over). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

14. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
